Missions Trips

Compelled by Christ’s Love...Christmas 2002, a missions trip to San Luis Potosi, Mexico, was in response to an invitation by Pastor Ruben Martinez of Iglesia Mt. Sinai (Mt. Sinai Church) in that city. A dozen team members comprised of people from various churches in the Dallas area, from Montana, Great Britain, and from Monterrey, Mexico, made up the team.

They joined members of Iglesia Mt. Sinai and students from Instituto Biblico T. O. Johnston of San Luis Potosi, to begin two new ministries in that city: an outreach to people who live in and /or work in a trash dump, and the planting of a new church nearby.

A second trip, Compelled by Christ’s Love...Summer 2003, July 20-27, 2003 returned San Luis to bring encouragement and assistance to these new ministries. A smaller group of five people from the Dallas area made up the team. They helped with the feeding line at the dump, visited people in the Las Flores neighborhood, participated in the outdoor evening services, practiced their Spanish and made friends among the Bible Institute students and youth and adults from Mt. Sinai Church.
